How does the TSP search process work?
Our Deep Research Team gathers all the information it can from solicitors, executors, trustees and other estate administrators about the possible whereabouts of missing beneficiaries. In many cases, we find people have moved abroad after becoming estranged with their relatives, in which case our international network of offices can help to continue the search.
In cases of intestacy (where no will exists), we use our skills and experience in genealogical research to find distant living relatives via the family tree. Once we have confirmed they are genuine next-of-kin, we provide documentary evidence of this to our client. Then, if necessary, we can begin the process of contacting the beneficiary to explain their entitlements and guide them through a claims process. We can also support applications for missing beneficiary indemnity policies, submitting our genealogists' reports to insurance companies on behalf of clients.
